Century of Lust

The performance Century of Lust gives rise to a non-traditional method. Historical materials documenting the lives and fates of one family over the course of this century create the inspirational source of this production. Actors movements, music, set design, costumes, light, sound and television pictures are elements in which the dramatic text occasionally follows. Under the guidance of director Damien Gray, the team creates a composition of theatrical situations which progressively transforms over the course of the story.
A family saga, created by theatrical pictures, enable us to examine the intimate and even the global perspective of a peculiar heritage which contains the values and discoveries that we will take with us into the next century.
After a year of preparations and six weeks of intensive rehearsals, the creators present the results of their work in the form of open rehearsals. The audience will have the opportunity not only to see the new production in development, but become in this sense the project's co-creator. Discussions with the creators of the project will follow each performance.
Century of Lust is the second collaborative work with American Damien Gray, who directed the play "Sweet Theresienstadt" by Czech playwright Arnošt Goldflam.
