Choreography: KKI ensemble under the leadership of Frank Micheletti
The group KKI was formed in 1996 as a group of artists from various artistic and geographic areas. The group includes dancers, circus artists, actors, and musicians from Western and Eastern Europe, as well as from Asia. They are connected by their interest in geography, their longing for distant lands, the inspiration of various cultures and the exploration of identity, roots and weak points of the human being. Their title comes from the Mongolian enlightened sovereign from the XII Century, but by their open and creative spirit is also a reminder of the teeming court Rudolf II.

Nicole Mossoux (Belgium)
Gradiva
Choreography and direction: Nicole Mossoux, Patrick Bonté
The duo Mossoux-Bonté has been considering a creative venture since the mid-Eighties. In addition to the series of the performances which are found on the border of dance and theatre, they have created three successful films together. "Gradiva" (1999) is a gloomy and chaotic description of the female world. A solitary person and rope which limits her defenses and movements, is pushed into a whirlwind of events.

Granhoj Dans (Danish)
Don't Kill Your Darlings
Choreography: Palle Granhoj
Last year, one of the most successful participants of the Tanec Praha Festival brought the comic, soothing and great production of performers. This year, the group becomes even bolder, in a slightly bizarre atmosphere - we find ourselves in communication traps and different perceptions of the details, including the imperfect human being.

Paula Tuovinen (Finland): Land of Faravid
Mirka Eliášová (CZ): Cítíte se skvěle? (Don't You Feel Great?)
The uniqueness and habits of those living in the extreme frost in the heart of Finland inspired Paula Tuovinen in her piece, which is in the spirit of an old Finish saga. In the middle of the summer, this piece can remind us of the snow, long winter evenings, matriarchy, a special sense of humor and folklore, and even love in winter... The fresh and slightly ironic is the newest work of Mirka Eliášová and creates an ideal contrast to the content of the evening.

Icelandic Dance Theatre (Island): Man is Always Alone
Jan Kodet (CZ): Brány (The Gates)
Precise choreographic manuscript of Ólof Ingólfsdóttir was chosen from the wide offer of repertoire of Island dance theatre. Seemingly without any conflict, asexual news of the daily life is a personal commentary as an expressive means of contemporary dance. The latest creation of Jan Kodet, successfully premiered in Archa in May, is of interest here as an unseen dialogue light, movement and word.
