Jiří Bulis (1946 - 1993)
Musical composer and poet
Graduate of JAMU, student of Prof. M. Ištván

He composed the music to the greatest productions of Arnošt Goldflam in the HaDivadlo and of Bolek Polívka in the Husa na provázku Theatre. He also composed the music for theatres in France, Germany, Poland, and Hungary. We can find his name in the titles of films of V. Chytilová, F. Fenič, J. Jakubisko, J. Němcová as well as others.
Brno became a work of the native of Chomutov. This quite tall man, lover of champagne, sweets and beautiful women, composed approximately two hundred songs. He went through Brno like a spider, so that he may stop for coffee at the one of his favorite sweet shops, "U Očků" or "Kolbaba". By the way, none of these sweet shops exist anymore.
We have returned to these pleasant songs of our friend in the performances Proklatec (The Damned) - a soirée with the songs of Jiří Bulis in the lost sweet shop, "Kolbaba".
Let's take this as a specific greeting to those who have left too soon and never said good-bye.
