En Français Comme en Anglais (even in Czech),
It's Easy to Criticize
The young Canadian director, Jacob Wren, is a revelation from last year's theatre scene. His style of theatre is situated somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle of theatre, dance and performance. The presentation is a creation of the collective of artists who come from the two Canadian metropolises - anglophone Toronto, and francophone Montreal. More than about criticism, it is an unbalanced and subversive performance which explores the inability to bring out a complete sense of opinions.
Jacob Wren in his own manifest says: "Who these days is interested in theatre? Absolutely no one! on the other hand, maybe I am. Yes I am!"
This performance will be performed in all languages: French, English and in Prague, even in Czech!
"Jacob Wren is a triple threat (fiction, poetry, plays) from whom we can expect great things in the future."
Eye Magazine
"It is like attending a dinner party with Salvador Dali, Bertrand Russell and Woody Allen: conversation is convoluted, cerebral wilfully obscure and above all, entertaining."
Toronto Life
"Jacob Wren seems to be an original, an artist with a deep urge to share his strange black private jokes with the rest of the world."
