The Everyday Media Boogieman - an evening discussion about the media and with the media
In Defence of the Media
It befits us to take a good look at all that the media is capable of accomplishing. We accuse them of a decline in cultural, ethical and social standards. Is this really the case?! Are we able to look beyond that, towards what the media - for all that it is criticized - is good for? Author: Jan Jirák. Organized by: AFiS - The Association of Film & Sociology, Archa Theatre. Supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

A special revival of a music project from the year 1979, when the band The Plastic People put on a concert of compositions inspired by the writings of the Czech philosopher and writer Ladislav Klíma at a farmstead in Nové Víska u Chomutova. Mejla Hlavsa composed the music, with adapted texts by Vratislav Brabenec.

The highlight of the concert in Roxy will be three newly arranged compositions: Wandering was I through Fields of Five, The Famous Nemesis and I am the Absolute Will in a version by the Plastic People and the contemporary music ensemble Agon Orchestra.
