Thursday, June 5, 8 p.m. / Ponec Theatre
Visit of Music - A Little Concert

The Music Section of Vizita Theatre: the violin bowing and vocalizing Martin Zbrožek, the contrabass plucking Jaromír Honzák, the drumming Alan Vitouš, the guitar strumming René Pařez and the saxophone blowing Marcel Bárta will relate to you what it is like to be visited by the music itself.

Let us follow what happens when the stream of music rising out of the conjuring of theatrical phantasmagoria goes wandering. Fragments of dialogue and bits of text in the service of songs wandering throughout the world, seeking and finding, only to immediately loose their place again in the new stories of as yet unknown heroes and fates (this time: theatre only in the imagination). Let yourself be visited, to find out what it is like!

Sunday, June 22, 7 p.m. / Galerie Rudolfinum
Agon Orchestra: Discreet Music
Brian Eno and Czech Electronic Ambient
The 20th anniversary concert on the establishment of Agon Orchestra is made up of several ambient compositions, allowing the audience to meditate upon the development of this contemporary music orchestra over the past twenty years. One unquestionable highlight of the evening will be the arranged compositions of the father of ambient music for large orchestras, Brian Eno. Ivan Acher combines samples with electronically modified live sound (a musical shot right between the eyes is therefore assured). Likewise, Zbyněk Vostřák (the premiere of an as yet unknown composition) resonates in electronic-acoustic form, as if in tribute to our predecessors' attempts in the field of instrumental and electronic music. Organized by the Society for New Music and Archa Theatre in cooperation with Galerie Rudolfinum as a part of the RAS/ART program.

Sunday, June 29, 8 p.m. / Ponec Theatre
House of the Deaf - Quinta del Sordo
Inspired by the life and work of Francisco Goya

A theatre project by the director Zoja Mikotová, Archa Theatre and hearing-impaired actors - graduates from the Brno Dramatic School for the Deaf.

This performance distinctively combines movement, dance, puppets, expressive music, song and light design in such a way as to allow the deaf actors to achieve an impressive testimony about the inner as well as outer world.

"The group ... an original theatre with a poetry all its own, is comparable to the best of movement and alternative theatre that can be seen in the Czech Republic, even perhaps raising the bar to a height that no one has as yet even overreached." (Vlasta Gallerová, Lidové noviny, March 4, 2002)
