Tender buttons
A raw musical gala spectacle about things both seen and unseen
The main character of the performance is the sightless singer and pianist Kateryna Kolcová, whose personal statements are confronted with the poetry of the Gertrude Stein, the mother of the American artistic avant-garde. The performance arises out of the texts of both authors, like circus acts. B-grade, kitsch and tawdry erotica are mixed in with a tragic desire for love. With: Kateryna Kolcová, Petra Cikánová, Jakub Žáček, Jaroslav Kořán and Agnes Kutas. Stage design: David Cajthaml. Dramaturgy: Nina Rutová. Conception and directed by: Jana Svobodová.
"It is a theatre of radical imagination, a poetic cabaret with a chanson singer, a melancholic and a ballet-dancer, the dada ragged by lesbian-feministic toughness. The audience is pulled on a rope of boldness. The borders between the words and images are fusing, shapes of the meanings are pouring out like the colours on the palette of a fauvist painter, sounds are turning into melodies, dance and gestures into tension and stiffness." (Jiří Peňás, Týden, May 6, 2002)

House of the Deaf - Quinta del Sordo
Inspired by the life and work of Francisco Goya
A new project by the Archa Theatre. Conception, choreography and directed by: Zoja Mikotová. Played by: actors from the I Can't Hear Theatre (divadlo Neslyším)
A movement piece that was derived from the works of the ingenious Spanish painter Francisco Goya - in particular from his graphic work Caprichos (Rosemarie) and Los Disparates (the Fool). As this graphic work depicts Goya's inner, as well as outer, world after loosing his hearing, so do the hearing impaired actors also convey their thoughts and feelings through the movement, dance, light and music of the theatre performance.
Live music accompaniment by Dora Blahutová (cellist from the group Tara Fuki) and Karel Heřman (singer from the group Cankišou).

La La La Human Steps: New Creation
The world premiere of the newest performance by the world famous Canadian dance ensemble. First time in the Czech Republic!!!
La La La Human Steps is one of the best and most internationally well-known contemporary dance groups. Since it was established, La La La Human Steps has gained a reputation as an ensemble for its performances based on wild, explosive dance, which push the boundaries of physical exertion to the edge of extreme risk and, at the same time, virtuosity.
Currently La La La Human Steps are preparing a new performance, in which they continue in the exploration of human movement based on speed, extreme, perceptual disorientation, and "pointe technique". Following the world premiere performance in Prague, the dance ensemble will go on tour throughout Europe, Canada, USA, Japan and South America.
